Grovelands Childcare are multi award winning early learning and care providers. Established in 1992 Grovelands Childcare now employ over 130 early years educators and cater for over 750 families in the midlands. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced manager to join our management team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in both managing staff and effectively communicating with clients. A Level 7+ qualification in childcare and early education though desirable is not essential. However a relevant childcare qualification is required. The position is a full time position.
Key responsibilities:
To execute the efficient and effective management of the centre on a day-to-day basis
To manage and motivate a team of qualified childcare practitioners
To continuously develop the centre and play a pivotal role in the promotion of the business.
To maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all aspects of the business
To act as the Designated Child Protection Liaison Person in line with Children First:National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children.
To build relationships with parents
To take on other responsibilities as reasonably requested by Senior Management.
Personal skills and experience:
Essential:
At least 3 years experience in early childhood care and education
Previously managerial experience
Proven experience of staff management
The ability to remain confidential at all times
Excellent organisational skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to motivate others and lead by example
Work as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft office packages
Flexible, can-do attitude
Full, clean driver licence
Desirable
Level 7+ Qualification in Childcare and/or Management
Knowledge of Government Childcare Schemes
